I came across this brochure and thought some of you might be interested. It discusses some questions we've had presented here in the recent past as well.

Standardized Grapefruit Extract (Citrus paradisi):
A Multi-Purpose Liquid Concentrate

Grapefruit extract is manufactured via a unique bio-technical process that isolates all the natural protective elements from the seeds and pulp of the fruit Citrus Paradisi. This natural grapefruit extract has been shown effective against numerous microorganisms (germs) including:

  • Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Listeria.
  • Gram negative bacteria such as E. coli, Klebsiella, Legionella, Salmonella, Shigella, Cholera and Pseudomonas.
  • Fungi and Yeasts such as Candida, Aspergillus and Trichophyton.
  • Viruses such as Herpes Simplex 1, Influenza A, and some animal viruses.
  • Parasites such as Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica and Chlamydia.

Chemical analyses of standardized grapefruit extract have shown that this material is free of pesticides, PCBs and heavy metals.
