Hi Maggie,
Yes, the parents were already told by a school counselor that the parent's hysteria was being transferred to the kids. The parents are also being threatened by the school administration that if they withdraw their children from school, they are permanently barred from returning. As this is a highly competitive specialized school program with admissions testing (science and math), students will stay sick rather than give up a prestigious HS diploma and college entry. They do not know that loss of health is at risk.
I sent a copy of the 911 ASH press release to the head of the parent's association and a few suggestions. Both kids and staff are having health problems because when the school is sealed, CO2 levels rise. Then they ventilate and the toxins from the WTC enter. This school needs to be closed until recovery efforts are completed but in the short term, symptomatic individuals need to get out of there. Very sad situation yet classic. Cyndi has a number of articles on the goings on at Stuyvesant High School which will be posted on the website.
